We made it to the MTC and finished our five days there. Lots of role playing and information overload, but me met some very nice people. This is a picture of our District. The Young's are going to Hawaii, The Merrill's are going to Rochester, NY and The Manning's are going to cover missions from northern CA. to Alaska as a mission doctor adviser and nurse.

Our apartment at the MTC |

After the MTC experience we drove to Heber and spent the night with Josh, Rachel, Maddox, Elayna and Haley.
We drove home on Saturday with a stop at the Lowthers.
We packed the pickup with all but the kitchen sink and made a few more visits.
Around 3:00 we started our trip and drove as far as Ontario, OR. where we spent the night and attended church there the next morning. After church we drove to Ellenburg, WA and spent the night there. The weather and roads were very good with only a little fog to deal with.
On Monday we arrived at our apartment and checked in. The mission office had it fixed very nice with furniture. The zone leaders live in the same complex so we let them know we were there and then we let the Mission President know we made it. We had a dinner appointment with them for 5:00 so after we unpacked we headed to their home and got to experience rush hour traffic in Seattle. It took us one and a half hours to go about 20 miles.
We spent most of the week shopping for the apartment. About $800.00 worth for food and a few things to make it nicer for us. We did meet with Bishop White and attend a training meeting at the office. The dinner with the mission President and his family was nice.

Looks like they are putting you to work. Where do they have you living?
ReplyDeleteWe are living in a complex called The Station in south Seattle. Not the best neighborhood, but a nice apartment. The homes here run from $200,000.00 up to $10,000,000.00 for a home on the lake.
